Follow my adventures through nursing school and what I have gotten myself into. I'll try to post at least once a week.

Moms and babies!
Yesterday was my first day of clinical in the OB (labor and delivery, postpartum, infant nursery, like kind of stuff). Its a little bit of an awkward place for a male nurse to be but I really enjoyed the time we got to spend on the floor. Since yesterday was the first day we had to go through a lot of orientation type stuff like documentation, getting badges, a tour, ect. Then we got to spend about an hour and a half on the floor with a postpartum mom and her baby. We got to do a head to toe assessment on both of them. The baby was so precious! The diapers were smaller than the size of my palm. What a precious gift of life God has created. We have a test on Tuesday over the past three weeks of theory class and I have an inkling that this one is going to be tough.
