A Bunch of Everything.

Again, I have failed at posting within the last week...but better now then never, right! And yes, my excuse is the same, I have been busy. With work this weekend and studying for the test we had today I just didn't get a chance to update. But lets see, where to start...How about last week Tuesday. Tuesday was a normal Tuesday in class all day. In theory we talked about the care of a prenatal client. Then in seminar we talked about culture and watched a part of My Big Fat Greek Wedding which displayed differences between two cultures very well. After that class I had to get re-certified in CPR so I had to be at school from 8:30 in the morning until 9pm...yup long day. Wednesday we don't have lab anymore so I spent the day getting all my paperwork and assignments and dates to turn things in all organized. Thursday I worked on finishing up SOAP notes and the reflection from simulation as well as get things ready for my first LEI visit of the semester which will be tomorrow. And Friday we had our first health fair at a Family Fare. It was actually quite interesting. We mainly did blood pressure screening and talked about making good nutritional choices with customers that were willing to talk. Got to meet a lot of nice people. It was interesting to see health mixed into a setting where people don't think about health a lot but make a lot of choices that affect there health. After that health fair my group met up to talk about and plan a health fair that we have we kids this coming Thursday. I'm really looking forward to that. It should be a good time! And then today we had our second test which went alright and then talked about care of the middle aged and older adult.

  1. If you are doing your presentation at the Children's Center let me know if you have any questions! I've worked there for 2+ years and have seen the nursing students do these presentations every semester! The kids always love it :)
